PESI partners participate in “Researchers night” – face to face with European researchers

The Researchers' Night is a Europe-wide event bringing together the public at large and researchers once a year and in 2010 it was on the 24th of September. At the NHM London there were displays on all of their research projects and 3 temporary barswere erected where scientists were‘hanging out’to answer questions from the public. They also provided exclusive museum tours and talks during their after-hours event to approx 7,000 members of the public. It was a wonderful opportunity for the public to discover what research is being carried out here and to look at some of the rare specimen on displaywhichare usually not open to public. Also participating in the researcher’s night was the National Museum of Natural History and Comenius Universityin Bratislava.

The 2010 edition of the Researchers' Night took place on 24 September in over 600 venues within 250 European cities in 33 countries.http://ec.europa.eu/research/researchersnight/
